Phase II ESAs

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

The purpose of conducting a Phase II ESA is to collect quantitative analytical data through field-testing and subsurface site investigations.

Unlike Phase I ESAs, which follow a prescriptive ASTM standard, Phase II ESAs can vary significantly from project to project in terms of the scope of work.  The initial Phase II investigation may establish that contamination is not present, or is present in only de minimis quantities, and remediation is not necessary.

However, more complex sites may require several phases of investigation.

HAI is experienced with all commonly applied investigation techniques, as well as innovative techniques, for the evaluation of surface soil, subsurface soil, groundwater, soil gas, sediment, stormwater, surface water, and air sampling.
